Brisbane Airport will host Routes Asia 2018, the leading aviation route development forum for Asia.

Brisbane Airport has won the rights to host Routes Asia 2018, the leading aviation route development forum for Asia.

More than 1000 airline, airport and tourism delegates from 100 countries are expected to head to the major conference, which was set up as an airline and airport networking event in 1996. The event will be held on March 18-20, 2018.

The Civil Aviation Safety Regulation is holding its two final Flight Plan 2030 future forums in Sydney on March 16 and Melbourne on March 18.

The aviation body has invited all aviation stakeholders to come and talk with CASA director Mark Skidmore about key current and future issues facing Australian aviation. The discussions will feed into the formal Flight Plan 2030 document that will be released later this year.

Non-profit Flight Safety Foundation is holding a workshop as part of its Global Safety Information Project to develop ways of better collecting and sharing safety information to reduce accidents. The two-day workshop will be held at the Novotel Sydney on Darling Harbour on March 22-23. Attendance is free.
