Worker held at knifepoint in terrifying robbery in Melbourne’s northwest
The worker was threatened outside a supermarket before being dragged inside and having a knife brandished near his face.
Frightening footage has emerged of a worker being held at knifepoint in an armed robbery in Melbourne’s northwest.
Police believe an unknown offender armed with a knife approached a staff member outside a Diggers Rest supermarket about 8.15pm on October 5.
The worker was threatened before being dragged inside the Glitters Rd store.
The offender demanded money and fled the scene with cash.
CCTV footage shows the man jumping over the fence outside the store.
He then tripped over while running along Welcome Rd before he got up and continued to run.
No one was injured in the incident; however, police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man they believe can assist with inquiries.
He’s described as being caucasian, about 175cm tall with a slim build.
He was last seen wearing grey pants, a black windcheater with a Nike logo and black work boots.
An image of the man has been released along with CCTV footage, with police urging anyone with information to come forward.
