Toddler dies at Bundaberg Hospital after drowning tragedy

Paramedics rushed a three-year-old boy to hospital after he was pulled unresponsive from a pool.

A three-year-old toddler has died after being pulled unresponsive from a swimming pool.

The tragedy hit in Queensland’s Bundaberg, about 375km north of Brisbane, on Saturday night.

“Police were called around 7pm after a three-year-old old boy was pulled unresponsive from a swimming pool,” a Queensland Police Services spokeswoman said on Sunday afternoon.

“The boy was transported to Bundaberg Hospital where he was declared deceased.”

The police are treating the death as non-suspicious and will prepare a report for the coroner.

The drowning happened at a private property in Woongarra, just outside Bundaberg.
