‘This is gonna hurt’: Wild footage after man shot in leg in Woodridge, Queensland

Footage has captured the moment police officers rush to help a man left sitting on a footpath after being shot.

Wild footage has emerged of the moment cops rushed to a man after he was shot in the leg in a Queensland suburb.

Police were patrolling North St in Woodridge at about 8pm on Monday when a man approached them saying he had been shot in the leg.

Footage released by police shows the man sitting on the footpath as officers worked to stem the blood flowing from the wound on his leg.

“It’s going to be really tight, man – it’s gonna hurt, and we’ll take it off you when it’s necessary,” an officer told the man as they applied a tourniquet to his leg.

The 30-year-old Browns Plains man was treated by officers at the scene before being transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police allege the 30-year-old man was involved in an altercation with another person at an address on North Rd before he was shot in the leg.

“Investigators believe those involved are known to each other and there is no ongoing threat to the public,” a police statement read.

A crime scene has been established and officers are investigating the inicident.

No charges have been laid.
