Teen slashed with machete in horror attack at train station

A teenager has been attacked with a machete by a group of unknown people, who are alleged to have fled the scene.

A teenager has been attacked with a machete at a train station in Melbourne’s west.

Police allege a teenager was approached by a group of people at Melton train station just after 5pm on Tuesday.

The teen suffered a laceration to his hand from what police believe was a machete.

The alleged offenders then fled on foot.

The teenager has been taken to Royal Children’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have since arrested one person while investigations remain ongoing.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
