SA Police investigating after man’s body found at cliff base near Murray Mallee

A man’s body has been found at the bottom of a cliff, with investigations into how he got there ongoing.

Police have launched an investigation after a man’s body was found at the bottom of a cliff in the Murray Mallee in South Australia on Friday.

SA Police were called to Murbko at 11.30pm on Thursday night alongside fire crews following reports of a reed fire near the river edge.

While investigating the cause of the fire, police located a man’s body at the foot of the cliffs just before 11am on Friday, at a site approximately 7km north of Blanchetown.

Police are conducting further investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding the man’s death, and whether it was suspicious, accidental, or otherwise.
