Queensland Deputy Premier Steven Miles denies calling Scott Morrison a ‘c**t’
It sounded a lot like it, but Queensland’s Deputy Premier says there’s a simple explanation for the moment he appeared to call the PM a vulgar word.
Queensland’s deputy premier has denied calling Scott Morrison a c**t, instead claiming it was the result of a stutter.
Marchers at Monday’s Labour Day rally in Brisbane erupted in cheers and applause when Steven Miles appeared to denigrate the Prime Minister.
“Scott Morrison’s in town, he’s holding $5000 a seat fundraisers,” he told the crowd.
“Think about that will you.
“Albo’s (federal Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese) here with us at Labour Day while Scott Morrison’s charging 5000 bucks a head to have dinner with him.
“What a cun … contrast.”

Mr Miles then went on to joke that Mr Albanese would be more careful with his words when he took to the stage.
At a press conference a short time later, the former health minister and Queensland government attack dog said his slip of the tongue had in fact been a “slight stutter”.
“Some in the crowd might have misheard,” he said.
“I want to be very, very clear that I was using the word ‘contrast’, the word ‘contrast’.
“Whatever I think of the Prime Minister, I would never ever use, never ever use language like that.”
