Pedophile priest Gerald Ridsdale hit with more charges

A pedophile Catholic priest has been hit with more charges alleging he sexually abused two more boys.

A pedophile priest is facing charges he sexually abused another two boys more than 30 years ago.

Victoria Police on Wednesday charged Gerald Ridsdale with 24 offences, including sexual penetration of a person aged between 10 to 16 and indecent assault.

The 87-year-old’s new charges relate to two male victims at Mortlake in the 1980s.

Ridsdale is serving a decades-long sentence for abusing more than 70 victims. He is eligible for parole in 2025.

Ridsdale is expected to appear at Warrnambool Magistrates Court later this month.
