People who attended a Sydney KFC restaurant have been told to watch for coronavirus symptoms and get tested if necessary after a COVID-positive person visited.

The known case visited the franchise’s Emerton restaurant, in the city’s west, on Monday, September 7, between noon and 9.30pm.

NSW recorded only six new coronavirus cases on Saturday, bringing the state’s total to 3968.

Of the six new cases, one is a returned overseas traveller in hotel quarantine, and five were acquired in Australia, linked to known cases or clusters, NSW Health reported.

Four are close contacts of previously reported cases linked to the Concord Hospital cluster.

One is a household contact of a previously reported case linked to the outbreak at St Paul’s Catholic College, Greystanes, in Sydney’s west.

One of the new cases is a student at Blue Mountains Grammar School.

Close contacts have been told to immediately isolate for 14 days and get tested, and the school is being cleaned.

Anyone who visited Katoomba Aquatic Centre on Friday, September 4, from 11.30am to 1.30pm is urged to monitor for symptoms and get tested if necessary.

The same goes for anyone who took the 379 bus from Bronte Beach to Bondi Junction railway station on Monday, September 7, from 11.08am to 11.24am; or the 316 bus from Avoca St, Randwick, to Bondi Junction railway station on Monday, September 7, from 10.44am to 11.05am.

This follows the state recording 10 cases on Friday, four of which were linked to known outbreaks and six were returned travellers in hotel quarantine.
