NSW Covid hot spots: Full list of venue alerts

Concern about the spread of coronavirus in Sydney continues after a Woolworths, hair salon and cinema were added to the list of exposure sites.

A Woolworths, hairdressers and cinema are among the latest venues to be added as hot spots in NSW after being visited by a positive case amid a growing cluster in Sydney’s west.

Two new cases were found and linked to an outbreak in Berala on Monday and NSW Health has since added to its list of exposed venues, which includes Reading Cinema in Auburn.

Anyone who attended the 10.10am screening of “The Croods: A New Age” on December 30 is considered a close contact and must isolate for 14 days and get tested.

NSW Health said anyone else at the cinema during this time was a casual contact and should get tested.

OKS Beauty and Hair in Lidcombe was also visited by a positive case, NSW Health said.

Customers at the businesses between 10.30am and 12pm on December 31 are being urged to get tested and isolate.

Woolworths in Lidcombe has also been put on alert after a positive case attended on December 31.

Anyone who went there should monitor for symptoms.

The Berala cluster exploded after a positive case worked at the BWS in the suburb for nine days during the busy Christmas period.

They served more than a thousand customers on a single day alone and unknowingly causing the new cluster.

NSW Health on Sunday expanded its advice for the bottle shop, adding a new date to the existing ones.

A confirmed case was at BWS Berala on December 20 from 12.30pm to 2pm.

On Sunday chief health officer Dr Kerry Chant said initial early investigations suggested about a thousand customers went to the BWS store on Christmas Eve alone.

“We are very concerned that transmission has occurred at this site,” she said.

“This advice is for people who attended during these times irrespective if they think it was just a fleeting visit to this premises, we want to act in a very precautionary way and we are asking for your assistance.”

Anyone who attended the Berala BWS for any period of time on the following dates is considered a close contact and must immediately get tested and self-isolate for 14 days from the last date of exposure.

  • Tuesday December 22 between 12.45pm to 9.15pm
  • Wednesday December 23 between 12.45pm to 91.5pm
  • Thursday December 24 2020 between 12.45pm to 9.15pm
  • Saturday December 26 between 9.55am to 7.15pm
  • Sunday December 27 between 12.45pm to 8.15pm
  • Monday December 28 between 8.30am to 7.15pm
  • Tuesday December 29 between 1.45pm to 9.15pm
  • Wednesday December 30 between 12.45am to 9:15pm
  • Thursday December 31 between 8.30am to 5pm

Meanwhile, authorities are also concerned about a transmission site in Wollongong.

The Swallowed Anchor has been revealed as the link between the Wollongong cases and the Croydon cluster after a positive case dined there.

Health has updated its advice to say anyone who was there on December 19 for any period of time on that day must get tested.

There’s a new alert for the Coffee Club in Shellharbour. Anyone who was there between 11.30am and 12.45pm on December 27 is considered a close contact and must get tested and isolate for two weeks.

People who visited the sites below should monitor for symptoms.

HABERFIELD: Australian Motor Traders, December 29 between 4.30pm and 5pm.

Those who visited the places below should get tested and isolate until notified of a negative result.

WAREEMBA: Trovatino cafe, December 24 from 3.10pm to 4.10pm.

Several bus and train routes has also been flagged as exposure sites. Commuters have been urged to monitor for symptoms.

Bus routes include the 724, 400 and 420 between December 30 and January 1.

Train routes include T1 Western Line on December 30, T9 Northern Line on December 30 and T8 Airport and South Line on December 30 and January 1.

There is also an alert for the rail line from Mascot to Macquarie Fields on January 1.
