Earlier on Thursday, a bar in Sydney’s CBD was linked to three cases of coronavirus infection during NSW’s latest outbreak.

Two new cases announced on Thursday were linked to the sports bar of the Paragon Hotel near Circular Quay.

NSW Health authorities said the two people who were newly infected there visited the bar on December 16 between 12.45pm and 3.30pm.

“Patrons that were at the sports bar during this time for more than one hour are considered a close contact, they need to get tested immediately and self isolate for 14 days regardless of the result,” NSW chief health officer Kerry Chant said.

Anyone who was there for less than one hour needs to get tested immediately and self-isolate while waiting for the results.

People who were in other areas of the pub during that time should monitor for symptoms and get tested if they appear.

NSW Health has also urged anyone who gets tested and receives a negative result to keep monitoring for symptoms and get tested again if they appear.

There were other venues and neighbourhoods also added to the list of places where officials are concerned coronavirus might have spread.
