No new coronavirus cases in Queensland
Queensland’s coronavirus numbers have hit zero as other states record new cases.
Queensland recorded no new coronavirus cases in the state, the health department has confirmed.
The number of active cases remains steady at just six and only four people remain in hospital as a result of the virus, according to the latest figures.
The state’s tally of confirmed cases remains at 1167.
There has been six deaths from the virus and the last was recorded in April, according to the department.
On Friday, Queensland recorded just two new cases, while other numbers remained stable.
It comes after New South Wales recorded five new cases, but all were detected in overseas travellers.
But in hard-hit Victoria, there were seven cases overnight and of those, four were linked to an outbreak in Melbourne’s northern suburbs.
