New COVID-19 venues added, hotspots in Brisbane, Gold Coast, full list

A male entertainer who worked at a hens party before going to an aged care centre has sparked panic, with 11 new venues added to the hotspot list.

Five new Qld supermarkets listed as virus exposure sites

A gym, shopping centre and cafe are among four new venues added to Queensland’s COVID-19 alert list.

Health authorities are urging anyone who has visited the Brisbane locations to go into urgent quarantine at home for 14 days.

Another eight locally transmitted virus vases were announced on Tuesday, as the premier confirmed two separate clusters were spreading in Queensland.

The clusters have put dozens of venues on high alert, with a Gold Coast tradie who attended a Byron Bay hen’s party as an entertainer found to have visited 11 potential exposure sites across his home town.

Anyone who has visited a close contact site must stay quarantined even if you get a negative result, until 14 days have passed as it can take that long before symptoms may show.
