A man has died after his motorcycle and a car crashed in an inner urban suburb of Adelaide.

The Yamaha motorcycle and Toyota sedan collided at the intersection of The Parade West and Fullarton Rd in Kent Town about 11.30am on Monday.

Police and paramedics responded to the crash but the 35-year-old Glenelg North man died at the scene.

His death brings the state’s death toll to 96, compared to 114 at the same time last year.

The Toyota driver, a 29-year-old Athelstone woman, was taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital to be treated for minor injuries, and has since been discharged.

Major Crash officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage of the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.

Roads surrounding the crash were closed for several hours but have since reopened.
