Merrymen Cafe, Hampton added to list of 14-day quarantine sites
Health advice for a bayside cafe in Melbourne has been upgraded after a positive case dined in, with other customers now required to isolate.
A bayside cafe has been added to the list of Victorian locations exposed to coronavirus.
The Merrymen Cafe in Hampton has been added to the close contacts public exposure sites.
A positive coronavirus case dined at the cafe from 12.50pm until 2.40pm on December 28, with the Department of Health and Human Services updating their website on Thursday morning.
Anyone in the 2 Small Street cafe at the same time must get tested immediately and quarantine for 14 days from the exposure.
It comes as Victoria recorded zero new locally acquired cases and zero new hotel quarantine cases on Thursday.
At least 94 sites have now been listed on the DHHS website as coronavirus exposure sites.
Tens of thousands of people have potentially been exposure to the virus after the MCG and Chadstone were added to the list of potential exposure sites on Wednesday.
An infected person attended the Boxing Day sales on December 26 and the Test match between Australia and India on December 27.
Victorian health authorities said the man was not infectious when he attended either location but may have acquired coronavirus there.
About 8000 people who sat in the Great Southern Stand zone five between 12.30pm and 3.30pm on December 27 have been urged to get tested immediately and quarantine until they receive a negative result.
Likewise, shoppers who visited 10 stores at Chadstone on Boxing Day between 6am and 1.30pm have been urged to get tested immediately and isolate until they receive a negative result.

- Huffer
- JD Sports
- Jay Jays
- H&M
- Uniqlo
- Myer
- Superdry
- Foot Locker
- Dumplings Plus in the lower ground food court
Other Victorian venues updated on the health department’s coronavirus alerts list on Wednesday included the Springvale shopping centre being removed as a public exposure site and corrected to Springvale Central.
A positive case shopped at Springvale Central at 268 Springvale Road, Springvale between 11am and 12.30pm on December 29.
Anyone who visited Springvale Central during this time has been urged to get tested immediately and isolate until they receive a negative result.
The Holy Family Parish Doveton Catholic at 100 Power Road, Doveton was also updated as an exposure site.
An infected person attended the Spanish service on December 26 between 4pm and 6pm, and another positive case attended the English service on December 26 between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.
Anyone who attended the Spanish service must get tested immediately and quarantine for 14 days from the exposure, while people who attended the English service have been urged to get tested immediately and isolate until they receive a negative result.
