A NSW mum’s last minute lotto purchase has brought her a $1m windfall.

The Berrigan woman told The Lott she bought a ticket online right before the draw closed after forgetting to purchase a ticket on Monday or Wednesday.

“I’m a bit dazed by it all,” she said.

“It’s funny as last night, I said: ‘Bugger, I forgot to buy a Lotto ticket.’

“I thought it was too late and had missed the draw. But then someone said: ‘No, you’ve still got time.’

“It was late last night, and my husband was already in bed. I was watching TV and thought I’d check my ticket.

“Then I saw it and thought that can’t be right.”

The woman said she went out of the app, then back in again to be sure.

“I went and woke my husband up. I had to show him. He just lay there in shock,” she said.

“I don’t think I got to sleep until 1am and then this morning I checked the ticket again, just to make sure it was real.”

The woman said she planned to pay off her mortgage, then “help set the kids up for the future”.
