Hunter community gathers to mourn after horror wedding bus crash

A small town community has come together to mourn a beloved doctor who died when a bus crashed on the way home from a local wedding.

Family and friends paddle out to remember Hunter Valley bus crash victim

Family and loved ones have arrived in a sea of vibrant colour ahead of the funeral of one of the ten victims of the Hunter Valley wedding bus crash.

Bec Mullen, a junior doctor who had spent the last year working in hospitals across the Hunter Region, was killed when the bus she was travelling in crashed and rolled at a roundabout near Greta two weeks ago.

It is the first funeral held in Singleton after the crash rocked the smalltown community where the bride and groom and most of their wedding guests lived.

Guests have been asked to wear floral or bright attire, and bring a special memory or photo for her family to collect and read in the future.

The fuenral comes two days after 28-year-old Angus Andrew Craig was farewelled in a service held at Worrigee in Nowra.

Mitchell Gaffney and his new wife Maddy Edsell were among hundreds of mourners who attended Mr Craig’s service.
