Girl, 12, dies in fatal e-scooter and car crash on regional street in Laidley
A 12-year-old girl riding an e-scooter has died after crashing into a car on a regional street.
A 12-year-old girl has died after an e-scooter and car crashed on a regional street in Queensland’s south.
Police believe the girl, who was riding an e-scooter, and a vehicle were travelling south on Vaux St in Laidley about 3pm Saturday when the young girl fell into the path of a grey Holden Barina.
The rider of the e-scooter, a 12-year-old Laidley girl, was declared dead at the scene.
“The driver and passenger of the vehicle were not physically injured,” a police statement read.
A crime scene has been established by the Forensic Crime Unit, and the investigation is ongoing.
