Frankston mass vaccination centre listed as exposure site
A mass vaccination centre has been listed as a coronavirus exposure site after a person who got their jab has since tested positive.
A mass Covid-19 vaccination hub in Melbourne has been listed as an exposure site after a person who received their jab at the site this week has since tested positive.
The person was administered the vaccine at the Community Vaccination Hub at the Bayside Centre in Frankston on Monday.
A statement on the Peninsula Health website said: “While they had no symptoms while at the Vaccination Hub, they subsequently developed symptoms and tested positive to the virus today (Thursday).”
Peninsula Health urged anyone who visited the venue between 11.30am and 12.45pm on Monday to get tested immediately and isolate until they received a negative result.
The venue is yet to be added to the Department of Health’s official Covid-19 exposure list.
Previously, the department had said that not all exposure sites would be listed, including those that had complete contact details for all visitors.
The vaccine hub remains open and is safe for people to attend vaccination bookings.
However, investigations were ongoing and the advice could change, the statement said.
