Footage shows man erupting at smokers outside Sydney Airport
A traveller has had some choice words for a group of smokers puffing away in a non-smoking area at Sydney Airport.
Footage has captured the moment an agitated traveller took aim at a group of men puffing away in a no smoking area at Sydney Airport.
The chaos unfolded outside one of the busy airports major passenger terminals on Thursday night.
“Would you put your cigarette out please? There’s a no smoking sign right there,” the videographer asked.
However, the request was quickly shut down by own of the smokers.
“No, I won’t,” he said.
“I’m done man,” another insisted.
Another person was heard in the background of the clip asking the non-smoker to let the men finish their cigarettes.
The incident was posted on the non-smoker’s Twitter account on Thursday, where he questioned why the rules weren’t being enforced.
“What’s the point of a no smoking area if you just let these morons blow smoke in the public’s face?” he wrote.
“Not a security guard in sight. No doubt you’ve got cameras everywhere. Pick up your act.”
Sydney Airport was quick to respond to the criticism, replying to the post hours later.
“This is not on, thanks for bringing it to our attention,” the official airport account commented.
“We will work with NSW Health to make sure people comply with smoking bans and are aware of designated smoking areas at the airport.”
