Body found in Westfield shopping centre car park in Melbourne

Police were called to a Westfield car park after a body was discovered by a member of the public.

A body has been found in the carpark of a shopping centre in Melbourne’s southeast.

A member of the public discovered the man’s body in the Westfield Southland car park in Cheltenham on Thursday morning about 5.30am.

The Chesterville Road shopping centre was closed at the time the body was found, with the centre typically opening at 9am on week days.

The area has been cordoned off and a crime scene has been established.

Police have urged anyone with information to come forward.

The death appears to be non-suspicious.
