Body found behind concrete barrier along NSW highway

A body has been found behind a concrete barrier on a major highway, with police appealing for witnesses to help identify the man.

A body has been found behind a concrete barrier along a highway in NSW’s Mid North Coast.

Police were called to Johns River about 36km south of Taree about 5pm on Sunday following reports a body had been found.

Officers found a dead man on a nature strip behind concrete barriers along the Pacific Highway.

The man is believed to be in his 30s however he is yet to be formally identified.

A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death has been launched.

Police have urged anyone with information to come forward, and have appealed for witnesses to help identify a man reportedly seen walking south along the M1 Pacific Motorway between Kew and Johns River between November 7 and 10.
