Taylor Swift announces Australian tour
The American pop sensation will return to Australia for the first time since 2018.
American pop sensation Taylor Swift will bring her ‘The Eras’ tour to Sydney and Melbourne in 2024.
In a social media post on Wednesday morning, Swift unveiled international dates as part of her world tour, which will see her stopping in Singapore, Japan, the United Kingdom, and Europe.
Swift will perform two shows at Melbourne Cricket Ground, which holds a capacity of 100,000, on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 February. She will then make her way to Sydney for three shows at Accor Stadium, capacity 83,000, on Friday 23, Saturday 24, and Sunday 25 February.

Rising American singer Sabrina Carpenter has been announced as the support act for all five dates.
The last time Swift toured Australia was in October 2018, in support of her album Reputation.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 30 and cost between $79.90 and $379.90 — plus handling charges. The most expensive VIP package with additional merchandise costs $1249.90.
Early access for American Express and Frontier members opens next Monday and Wednesday.
After a difficult ticketing rollout, Swift began the Eras tour in Arizona in March.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese told radio station Nova last week that he is a fan of Swift. “I think she’s terrific, and I think that she’s empowering young women. If people actually listen to Shake It Off, the lyrics are fantastic … I quite enjoy her,” he said.
On July 7, Swift will release Speak Now (Taylor’s Version). The re-recorded album will feature guest appearance from Paramore’s Hayley Williams and Fall Out Boy.
