Sticky Fingers frontman Dylan Frost was asked to leave a popular Sydney pub early on Thursday morning after a verbal altercation with a transgender woman.

The band kicks off a world tour on June 2 after a year-and-a-half-long hiatus amid widespread controversy over Frost’s alleged violent and erratic behaviour.

Frost revealed he had been struggling with alcohol addiction and had been diagnosed with bipolar schizophrenia in 2016 when the band announced they were going on an indefinite break.

At around 1am yesterday morning transgender model and writer Alexandra V. Tanygina was having a drink with two friends in the poker machine room of Newtown’s Kelly’s on King when they noticed the Sticky Fingers frontman.

“Dylan was a million per cent intoxicated, he was absolutely wasted,” she said.

After a verbal altercation where Frost allegedly called Tanygina “crazy” because she asked him to be quiet after persistent comments, she told him “at least I’m not a racist and my career isn’t over.”

She said Frost responded by screaming at her that he hated transgender feminists, that he couldn’t be sexist because his mother was a feminist and he couldn’t be racist because he was Maori.

Tanygina said Frost then called her a “floozy” and a “b..ch”.

“He basically asked me if I wanted to fight and I said no I don’t want to fight ... he was like ‘hit me, hit me’,” Tanygina said.

Security came and escorted Dylan from the venue after the bartender asked him to leave, she said.

“The bartender came ... he was asking him to leave and Dylan was just yelling over the top of me,” Tanygina said.

Tanygina said the altercation, which lasted for at least 25 minutes, has left her terrified.

“I had so much adrenaline but I was frozen at the same time,” she said.

“My PTSD came out which hasn’t been triggered in probably two to three years.” she said. “I was completely shaken, I felt like there was something stuck in my throat, I wanted to cry but I just couldn’t.”

A Sticky Fingers spokeswoman said Tanygina approached Frost and began harassing him until a staff member intervened.

“Dylan was in the pokies room after spending some time with a friend,” the spokeswoman said.

The spokeswoman said that as Frost was leaving, he was verbally harassed and called a racist.

“Dylan said it was bullsh..t and to leave him alone,’’ the spokeswoman said. “She continued to harass him, and then her friend joined in ... And Dylan told him to f..k off. The manager noticed there was tension and asked them to leave, which Dylan did.”

The band wrote on their Facebook page last month they had spent their absence learning to cope with their addiction and mental health issues in preparation for their world tour.

“We needed the time off to focus on building skills to deal with addiction and mental health so we could be ready to tour and do what we do best. We’ve realised that we still need to learn more from our past mistakes and behaviour and we’re determined to do that through community support and a sober mind frame.”
