Race 1 - 1:00PM ADELAIDE HOTEL SHOWCASE MAIDEN PLATE (1650 METRES)

2. Bound To Fire has had three runs back from a spell and has been placed in two of them. He started favourite when a last start second at Nowra and the step up in distance looks like it should suit.

Dangers: 5. Forness ran home well to finish fourth in the same race Bound To Fire contested at Nowra last time out. He can figure in the placings with a repeat of that. 6. Ghaznavi ran well enough when fifth at Kembla Grange last weekend and looks to have the ability to give this a shake. 10. Broom Hilda debuted with a fifth at Nowra in the event Bound To Fire and Forness were in and she can make an impact in this with the extra distance looking to be in her favour.

How to play it: Bound To Fire WIN.

Race 2 - 1:35PM HECK OF A DECK COUNTRY BOOSTED SHOWCASE MAIDEN HANDICAP (1010 METRES)

13. Commandoro is a dual acceptor that looks suited in this race from the inside barrier. He’s had two starts since joining the new stable and has figured in the placings on each occasion with both being at this track. The step up in distance is to his advantage.

Dangers: 11. Tjaka is a filly on debut for Danny Williams and she had had three trials to prepare. She finished fourth of five in the latest of them at Goulburn and strikes a nice race here to launch her career. 5. Xanadu Miss is a mare having her first start and she looked good in her only trial when a close-up second at Nowra. She’s in a good stable and bears close watching. 1. Lowline was big odds on debut when finishing second at Queanbeyan after racing on the pace. He can give cheek in this.

How to play it: Commandoro WIN.

Race 3 - 2:10PM ALL ABOUT GLASS BATEMANS BAY COUNTRY BOOSTED SHOWCASE CLASS 1 HANDICAP (1010 METRES)

2. Miss Belgium has been racing well with placings at each of her latest two starts. She’s drawn wide here but has been hitting the line well of late and can again in this.

Dangers: 3. Ecantado was a winner at Queanbeyan last December and then spelled after a midfield finish at the same track. He resumed from a spell with a midfield effort on the Acton track at Canberra and then was spelled again. He can run well here from the good gate. 4. Ulysses Blue has a win and five placings to her name from nine starts and only needs to run up to those efforts to be rated a chance again.1. Checkendon is resuming from a long spell for a new stable.

How to play it: Miss Belgium EACH WAY.

Race 4 - 2:45PM AMH MUSTANG SHOWCASE OPEN HANDICAP (1010 METRES)

3. King Gutho broke through to score a win at Canterbury when he sat back in the field and hit the line well. He since won a trial before finishing third at Wagga behind Asgarda. That form looks strong for this event.

Dangers: 1. Alicia Roma is resuming from a spell for a new stable and had been contesting a lot better grade races than this in her most recent starts. She’s won a Hawkesbury trial leading into this. 2. Miss Ostend ran a last start second at Canberra has a solid overall record. 4. Fourth Spargo has a consistent record and was close-up when third at this track last time out.

How to play it: King Gutho WIN.

Race 5 - 3:25PM BATEMANS BAY SOLDIERS CLUB SHOWCASE BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP (1200 METRES)

5. Thoughtful was a strong winner on debut at Goulburn then ran second at this track before following a midfield effort here with a last start fourth at Goulburn. He has talent and can bounce back here.

Dangers: 4. Peruno raced on the speed and did the job well to score a win here two starts ago and was placed at this track last time out. He has been consistent of late and is worth including among the main chances. 1. Your Not The Boss is resuming here on the back of a trial win and warrants respect, while 7. All Astern ran a close-up fourth at Dubbo two starts ago and can figure with a repeat of that effort.

How to play it: Thoughtful WIN.

Race 6 - 4:05PM TYRE TORQUE BATEMANS BAY SHOWCASE SUPER MAIDEN PLATE (1200 METRES)

14. Spirit In The Dark resumed from a spell with a third placing at Canberra and her previous form was solid enough without figuring in the placings. She’s drawn well here.

Dangers: 4. The Main Event was placed on debut here and hasn’t raced since a down the track effort as favourite at Nowra. He’s drawn wide but has the ability to figure prominently. 5. Giza resumes for a new trainer and wasn’t disgraced in two runs earlier in the year. She could run well without surprising. 10. Urafiki is having her first start for a new stable and was a last start fourth at Wyong.

How to play it: Spirit In The Dark WIN.

Race 7 - 4:40PM SCB DISTRIBUTORS THE LEGEND OF THE SOUTH (1300 METRES)

8. Capital Heart is a former John O’Shea trained galloper that was having his first start for the Matthew Dale stable when scoring a runaway victory at this track a couple of weeks ago. He’s a handy type when at his best and while this is harder, he should show up again now he’s back in winning form.

Dangers: 11. Fourcade ran well in Highway company at Rosehill when finishing fourth before bouncing back to winning form when enjoying a good run behind the speed and dashing clear late to score as favourite a couple of weeks ago. She’s up in class but is racing well enough t be considered again. 3. Tulla Park has been racing well with a couple of Acton track wins at Canberra and two placings being followed by a last start Canberra win. He should be prominent again. 5. Body Bob is a bold front-runner when at his best and expect him to improve on a last start fifth behind Tulla Par.

How to play it: Capital Heart WIN.

Race 8 - 5:15PM CAMERONS HARDWARE BATEMAN’S BAY CUP - BENCHMARK 66 HCP (1650 METRES)

4. Spritely Emily is a nine-year-old mare racing in great form having won her latest two starts at this track and over this distance. She sat handy to the speed and attacked the line well to score last time out and a repeat of that would have her hard to hold out again.

Dangers: 2. The Big Biig is returning from a freshen-up and is a winner at this track over this trip at his only start here. He’s proven over longer trips but can sprint well fresh. 10. Tillman raced on the pace and fought on well to score a last start win at Nowra and that form should hold up well here. 13. Les Goh finished third behind Tillman at her latest start and is not out of this if she can run up to that performance.

How to play it: Spritely Emily EACH WAY.

Best Bets: Race 5 (5) Thoughtful; Race 7 (8) Capital Heart.

Best Value: Race 8 (4) Spritely Emily.
