Well who could have predicted such a dismal English performance?
From the outset Australia attacked with the willow, going along at over six runs an over, before getting 508 runs ahead and declaring before lunch. From there, it was self-destruction on a level we haven't seen since the last time England were in Australia. For a team who had supposedly turned the tables and were playing an "aggressive" brand of cricket, they flopped in spectacular fashion and showed yet again a worrying susceptibility to the pace of Mitchell Johnson and his fast bowling buddies.
England's shot selections were questionable, while Ben Stokes' comical run out summed up the day for Trevor Bayliss's team.
England have a lot of questions to ask themselves and for Australia, they will celebrate such an emphatic turn around of form whereby every almost single player could contributed in some way.
