A man has died in a crash in Sydney's south-west on Thursday afternoon.
The man, believed to have been in his 50s, was driving a Honda Civic when his car and a Toyota Celica collided at the intersection of Mallee and Church streets in Cabramatta about 1pm.
Police said the man died at the scene.
His female passenger and the two male occupants of the Toyota were treated by paramedics before being taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the driver of the Toyota will undergo mandatory blood and urine analysis.
A crime scene was established and investigations are continuing.
Earlier on Thursday, an elderly woman, who was hit by a van while crossing a road in Chatswood in Sydney's north, suffered serious head injuries and is in a critical condition.
