By Ashleigh McMillan and Carolyn Webb
A pair of young siblings missing for almost 24 hours after disappearing near a train station in Melbourne’s north-east have been found safe, police say.
Zoe, 7, and Christian, 11, from Ivanhoe, had been last seen on Monday at 3.30pm near the Mernda train station, about 27 kilometres north-east of the CBD.
News that the siblings had been found arrived just after 2pm as Victoria Police was speaking to the media outside Heidelberg police station.
Acting Senior Sergeant Robyn Waite said the children had been found safe and well. She said more details would be released later.
