Labor has requested a recount of votes in the undecided seat of Prahran, where it trails Liberal MP Clem Newton-Brown by just 41 votes, more than a week after the state election.
Labor candidate Neil Pharaoh said he requested a recount because of irregularities in the ballots and the process, the need for close scrutiny of a high number of informal votes and the potential for ballots to have been misplaced.
He said there were still many more votes coming in on Monday and the Victorian Electoral Commission was expected to distribute preferences on Tuesday.
"It's definitely starting to drag on a bit," Mr Pharaoh said.
It is understood that on Monday the VEC found 15 ballots that preferenced the Greens in the inner-city, marginal seat.
Meanwhile, Labor is poised to win Geoff Shaw's former seat of Frankston with the VEC set to make a formal declaration on Wednesday.
Labor candidate Paul Edbrooke has a 334 lead over Liberal candidate Sean Armistead.
