WorldPride
Sydney WorldPride is in its last few days, as Saturday’s Bondi Beach party is expected to draw 12,000 people.
Gates open at 3pm at the edge of Bondi Beach where pop star Nicole Scherzinger and an Australian DJ line-up including dameeeela, Jarred Baker, Jacqui Cunningham, Charlie Villas and Dan Murphy will perform into Saturday night.
Roads will be closed for Pride Villages down Crown Street, Riley Street and Taylor Square and the Oxford Street party will also close Oxford Street over the weekend.
The villages are scheduled on Friday from 2pm to 11pm, Saturday from noon to 1am and Sunday from 10am to 10pm.
Transport NSW confirmed all roads will be likely to reopen about 4.30am on Monday.
Sunday will be the biggest day for this weekend of WorldPride, as up to 50,000 participants will march across the Sydney Harbour Bridge to mark the closing of the event.
The march begins on the Pacific Highway in North Sydney near the Blue Street intersection at 7am and will end at The Domain and Hyde Park about 10am.
Roads will be closed from North Sydney through to the city centre from 1am to noon. The Sydney Harbour Bridge and major roads in the city and North Sydney will be closed from 4am.
While the Sydney Harbour Tunnel will remain open, delays are expected and motorists are urged to avoid it until after 11.30am where possible.
