When you think of the security at Canberra's beloved Mooseheads nightclub, do you think of puppy dogs, kittens and bunny rabbits?
Well, now you will.
The latest Mooseheads Security Guard Calendar features the muscle of the Canberra icon teamed with cute and cuddly animals from the RSPCA shelter.
The pay-off was a $10,000 donation to RSPCA ACT thanks to sales of the calendar.
Mooseheads marketing and events manager Ryan Dyson said the RSPCA was a worthy contender for their charity of choice.
"They ended up choosing us in a way. We were on the fence about whether to do it again for another year when they approached us expressing interest and we knew we couldn’t say no," Mr Dyson said.
"The role of a security officer is often a thankless one that involves long hours, early mornings and party revellers so we thought the cute animals helped show a softer side of the lads. Plus, who doesn’t love cute animals?"
The donation to the RSPCA will help support abused, abandoned and neglected animals in the ACT.
“It was really great to see so many Mooseheads patrons getting behind the calendar again for another year," Mr Dyson said.
"The team here are thrilled with the outcome and it seems that everyone enjoyed the final product as much as we enjoyed putting it together.”
Mr Moose himself made a special appearance at the RSPCA's Weston Shelter on Wednesday to hand over the donation. The 2019 calendars are now all sold out.
