A man has been taken to hospital after a house fire in Narrabundah.
Emergency services were called to Dalrymple Street just after 5.30pm on Monday.
An ACT Emergency Services Agency spokesperson said a man was evacuated from the property.
Firefighters extinguished the fire that's understood to have started in the kitchen and had spread to the ceiling.
The man was treated by intensive care paramedics and transported to the Canberra Hospital for further assessment for smoke inhalation.
As of 6.20pm crews remained on the scene and were checking for any hot spots.
