The British former ski instructor accused of the violent rape of a woman in Jindabyne in July last year pleaded guilty to the attack on Tuesday.
Matthew James Williams, 29, appeared via video link in the Queanbeyan Local Court and pleaded guilty to raping the woman and also to assaulting the man who had been accompanying her.
Documents tendered in court stated the two victims had been drinking with family and friends at Banjo Patterson's Inn, Jindabyne on the night of the attack.
Williams, who is a British national and was employed as a ski instructor, also attended the hotel on the night.
According to the documents the two victims had consumed MDMA and alcohol during the night and left just after 1am. CCTV footage showed Williams followed the pair up Kosciuszko Road for a while.
The male victim told the police he heard footsteps behind them when he turned and saw Williams approaching the pair quickly, when he reached the pair Williams tapped the man on the shoulder and then punched him in the face.
The man fell to the ground and Williams kicked him while he lay on the ground and the man lost consciousness.
Williams then punched the female victim causing her to also fall to the ground, she screamed and offered Williams money. She told police Williams just laughed at her and she then lost consciousness.
The documents state that when the woman regained consciousness Williams was straddling her, sitting on her waist and had pinned her arms to the ground.
She struggled to get free and Williams punched her several more times to the face and then forcibly removed the woman's shirt and bra.
He bit her breast before aggressively removing her pants.
At this point the male victim regained consciousness and recalled seeing Williams trying to kiss the woman and was moving up and down on top of her with his pants down.
The man tried to help his friend but Williams again punched him to the ground and began kicking him again.
Williams then returned to the woman and proceeded to rape her, he punched her several more times as she struggled to get away.
The male victim, still on the ground, saw headlights from a passing car. He got up and managed to run into the road trying to flag down the car.
At this point Williams ran away.
A witness helped the pair and they made a call to emergency services.
The woman was treated for multiple injuries including serious bruising to her face, head, arms and legs, several abrasions and injuries of a sexual nature.
The male victim suffered a broken nose, broken eye socket and severe bruising.
DNA testing was able to help police identify Williams and his smart watch also fell off during the attack and was left at the scene.
Williams' co-workers at Blue Cow, Perisher reported to police that he told them the next day he had "had a rough, rough night" and one of his co-workers noticed he had struggled to put on a ski glove.
Williams reported an injury to his supervisor which he said was from banging his wrist while skiing.
The matter will now proceed to the NSW District Court in Goulburn for sentence. Williams remains in custody and will next appear in May.
He also has a charge of drug possession being finalised in the Queanbeyan Local Court in June.
