Woman’s body found in wheelie bin outside Geelong

Police are investigating after the body of a woman was reportedly found in a wheelie bin located in Buckley, near Winchelsea, on Saturday afternoon.

Victoria Police confirmed officers located the woman’s body on Mount Pollock Road about midday.

“Investigators are treating her death as suspicious and a crime scene has been established,” a statement read.

“No arrests have been made.”

Footage from the crime scene at Buckley showed a wheelie bin in bushes on the side of the road and homicide detectives in attendance.

A police spokesperson confirmed a second crime scene has been established at a residential address on Mirka Way in Point Cook believed to be connected to the body.
