Karlie Kloss has become Ivanka Trump's sister-in-law after marrying businessman Joshua Kushner.
The model, whose new venture capitalist husband is the brother of US President Donald Trump's senior adviser and son-in-law, announced the news on Friday morning, Australian time, with a picture on her social media accounts.
She wore a custom Dior gown at the small, Jewish ceremony in upstate New York.
Kusher's family are Modern Orthodox Jews. Ivanka Trump was also required to convert before marrying into the family in 2009.
Eighty people attended the ceremony, People reports. It is understood there will be a larger wedding in the northern spring.
Kloss, 26, and Kushner, 33, had previously announced their engagement in July.
“I love you more than I have words to express,” Kloss, who rose to mainstream fame as a member of Taylor Swift's "squad", wrote on her Instagram account at the time. “Josh, you’re my best friend and my soulmate. I can’t wait for forever together. Yes a million times over.”
Despite Kloss' high profile, the couple have managed to keep their romance out of the tabloids.
In March, the model, who was – at one point – studying computer science at NYU, told the New York Times she liked having a "private private life".
“Carolina Herrera always says, ‘A woman who’s an open book is boring.’ There’s no mystery anymore. I know in my life what really matters to me. I’m not trying to hide that from the world; I just really like having a more private private life. I’ve got nothing to hide, though!”
Although he has family connections to the Trump family, Kushner appears to have his own political views. He made headlines when he attended the Women's March on Washington, a protest against Trump's presidency, last year.
