Harry and Meghan’s ‘Happy Holidays’ card features rare image of their children

London: Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have released a “Happy Holidays” card featuring a rare image of their two children.
Among six photographs featured on the card is a distant shot of Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3, neither of whom have been photographed in public for years.
Lilibet is shown with her back to the camera running into Harry’s open arms, long, red hair flowing behind her. She is wearing knee-high white socks and a blue floral short-sleeved dress.
Her brother, Archie, who also boasts a shock of red hair, is shown running into the arms of the duchess, while the family’s three dogs watch on.
The e-card wishes recipients “a very happy holiday season and a joyful new year” on behalf of the couple’s private office, the Archewell Foundation and Archewell Productions.
The other images show the duke and duchess on various official engagements this year.
In one, Meghan is seen hugging a young girl in Colombia, while at a separate event in the country, the couple are shown in Cartagena, where the duchess wore a cream boater hat by Colombian designer Hannia Char.
In another shot, Harry is pictured greeting an injured soldier in Nigeria.
The couple have shunned the royal tradition of releasing an annual image to mark significant milestones, preferring to maintain their children’s privacy after stepping back from public duties.
Harry and Meghan have previously released only a handful of photographs of Lilibet. They include two taken during her first birthday celebrations in 2022, when they returned to the UK to mark the late Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.
Several family photographs made fleeting appearances in their 2022 Netflix documentary, Harry & Meghan, but they were largely of Archie.
The Sussexes’ 2023 Christmas card featured a photograph of the couple taken during the closing night of the Invictus Games ceremony in Dusseldorf, Germany.
