See

Definitely visit At The Top of Burj Khalifa, ideally at sunrise or sunset to get views of either the daybreak or the night lights. There is also High Tea at Atmosphere, on the 122nd floor of the Burj Khalifa, if you fancy a nice day out, burjkhalifa.ae

Do

I am a very active person; I love going for walks around Dubai Creek Harbour or long walks along Kite Beach. Dubai has great gyms as well as Pilates and yoga studios, which you’ll often see me at. I recently joined ClassPass with my friends which gives you access to gyms all over the world, so we attend different Pilates, barre and yoga classes when we’re off together. This helps me mix up my workouts, so I’m not just doing weight training all the time. I also attend Bikram Yoga and stretching classes that are sometimes not available in ClassPass, classpass.com

Eat

I love going to Dubai Mall, and the first place that comes to mind is Texas de Brazil. The lobster bisque soup cannot be missed, texasdebrazil.com The mall is right by the Burj, and I go there for dessert at Parker’s – the “Pull Me” cake in original or the “Lotus Drama” cannot be missed. Otherwise, it’s lunch at Walnut Grove with my friends, where I always get either a Matcha Latte on coconut milk or the mixed berries iced tea, with one of their yummy salads. There are always so many quaint cafes opening up in Dubai Mall, so we never get bored.

Drink

I’m not much of an alcohol drinker, but when it comes to sweet drinks, my all-time go-to is the Kinder shake from Chocolicious on Jumeirah Rd in Umm Suqeim. I have got all my friends onto this shake, and it hits the spot every single time. instagram.com/chocolicious_ae/

Avoid

I think Dubai is one of the safest cities in the world, and that’s coming from someone who has actually travelled the world. However, when travelling to different countries, you must become aware of the rules and regulations, as well as the cultural norms of the country you are travelling to.

Thrive

Keeping fit and active keeps me healthy and able to get through my long-haul flights. When I have had time away from training, I notice instantly that I’m more tired and lethargic, with practically no energy at all. This is why I make it a priority to go to the gym on every layover as well as on my days off.
