Goodnight

That’s all from us tonight. Thanks for following along.

Let’s do it all again tomorrow when the Bulldogs play the Titans at 1:50pm, followed by the Broncos and Panthers at 4:05pm, before the Storm and Raiders close out Magic Round from 6:25pm.

If you want to catch up on the news from tonight’s match, you can find Christian Nicolussi’s report here.

Stats after 80 minutes

Tigers escape with lucky win

That’s the full-time siren at Suncorp Stadium, where the Tigers have walked away with a 34-28 victory over the Dragons.

A bit of a lucky win for the Tigers, who didn’t really turn up in the second half, and allowed the Dragons back in the contest after holding a 16-point lead at half-time.

It was a wild final three minutes, with a try to Hamish Stewart and a captain’s challenge on the full-time siren, but the Tigers managed to limp away with a win today.

Stewart try in final three minutes keeps Dragons in the fight

Hamish Stewart barges over with less than three minutes left on the clock and the Dragons are rushing to get the restart under way.

It’s just a six-point game with two minutes and 26 seconds in the match.

What can they do?

Doueihi try brings victory closer for Tigers

The Tigers have all but sealed this game up, with a messy – but legitimate – try for Adam Doueihi.

The Tigers centre puts a little kick in, and a hesitant Clint Gutherson doesn’t pick the ball up before he and Charlie Staines collide.

Doueihi cleans up his own kick in the end and crosses to score and convert to give his team a two converted try lead.

Errors galore as full-time nears

It’s an error for an error out here in the final 15 minutes.

First Fonua Pole coughs the ball up, and now Valentine Holmes.

Neither team can finish a set at the moment, but it looks like the Dragons have a bit more oomph as we near the final 10 minutes.

Tigers extend lead with penalty kick

The Tigers get a penalty for defender interference in the play-the-ball, and they decide to extend their lead to one converted try.

Adam Doueihi kicks the penalty and the Tigers hold onto the lead.

Bula held up after epic contest with Gutherson

Jahrea Bula, come on down.

He goes up to contest veteran fullback Clint Gutherson for the ball and comes away the better of the two.

He wins the contest and crosses the line, but it looks like Kyle Flanagan has done enough to cover.

The bunker rules Bula is held up, but the Tigers get a full set 10 metres from the Dragons line.

Liddle gets a double

The Dragons certainly are up for the fight, with the left edge combination of Lyhkan King-Togia and Valentine Holmes teaming up to help provide their team with more points.

With Kyle Flanagan and Jacob Liddle coming up the middle in support, King-Togia offloads to give Liddle his second try of the night.

It’s a four-point game.

Liddle burrows across to keep Dragons in the fight

Some poor discipline has cost the Tigers, with three set restarts, a poorly executed intercept, and a failed goal line drop out finally leading to a try for the Red V.

It would have been nice if they managed to get the job done after just one of those advantages, but at least they got there in the end.

It was Jacob Liddle who finally managed to burrow over the line from dummy-half, and score for his team to keep them in the fight.

The Dragons look up to the challenge in this second half – the Tigers better be careful.
