1. Sam Perrett. Passed every test under the high ball. Didn't offer much in attack but his defensive work kept Canterbury in the game at the break. 6/10
2. Corey Thompson. Didn't have much of an impact but that was largely due to the lack of possession. 5/10
3. Josh Morris. Had plenty of good supporting runs but did not turn his labour into results. 5/10
4. Tim Lafai. Was barely given a chance to shine in attack and missed too many tackles. 5/10
5. Mitch Brown. Starved of the ball for the bulk of the match but held his line in defence. 5/10
6. Josh Reynolds. Helped his team out of a first-half slump with a 40/20 but offered little else in the first half. 6/10
7. Trent Hodkinson. Fans had to check team sheet to ensure he was playing in first half. 4/10
8. Aiden Tolman. Solid first-half display was let down by frustration in the second when he drew several penalties. 6/10
19. Moses Mbye. The youngster proved he was a capable fill-in for the injured Michael Ennis. 8/10
10. James Graham. Led by example as captain with two heavy challenges on Sam Burgess and Dave Tyrrell. 8/10
11. Josh Jackson. Workhorse. Ruthless, strong and determined. 7/10
12. Tony Williams. Brought the Dogs back into the contest with a try early in the second. 6/10
13. Greg Eastwood. Sluggish marker, conceded a second-half try. Souths too strong. 5/10
14. Tim Browne. Fought hard in the battle of the forwards. 5/10
15. Dale Finucane. Tried to take game to the giant pack of Souths but came off second best. 5/10
16. David Klemmer. Ran hard, straight and defended admirably. 6/10
17. Frank Pritchard. Good defence was highlighted by a superb reflex catch in the second. 6/10
