Ambulance crews rushed to the scene of an accident involving a quad bike which has left two teenagers seriously injured in Perth’s east.

Police have blocked off the road after the quad bike was involved in a single vehicle crash on the corner of Morrison Road and Bledon Way in Swan View on Monday afternoon.

A 15-year-old boy was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by ambulance as a ‘priority one’ patient with serious head injuries and is currently in a critical condition.

The other boy was taken to Perth Children’s Hospital with serious injuries.

It’s believed the vehicle they were riding collided with a tree.

A witness said she believed she had seen three boys riding erratically around Swan View on a quad bike without helmets on Monday morning.

“I first saw them around 8.30am this morning,” Swan View resident Theresa Taylor said.

“Then I saw them again around 11am. They came off the roundabout to get straight in front of me so they could do fishtails and donuts on the gravel.

“I slowed down because I thought they were going to come off then.”

Taylor said the boys looked like they were aged between 13 and 15 years old.

“They were hooning up and down the road,” she said.

“None had helmets on, just those pull-up face masks.”

Police resources and St John Ambulance remain at the scene, a WA Police spokeswoman said.

More to come.
