Police charge second teenager with murder over Midland stabbing

By Cameron Myles

A 16-year-old boy is the second teenager to be charged with murder over a stabbing in Midland earlier this month.

The Armadale boy was due to face Perth Children’s Court on Sunday facing one count of murder following the death of a 33-year-old man on Thursday, July 3.

An 18-year-old man has already been charged and appeared in court over what neighbours described as a frenzied stabbing attack outside a home on the corner of Great Northern Highway and Margaret Street.

The 33-year-old man was taken to hospital, but later died from his injuries.

Police had earlier said three people were assisting with their inquiries into the man’s death.

The 18-year-old will next face court at the end of the month.

The investigation remains ongoing, and detectives have urged anyone with any information or vision relating to this incident, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
