Traffic chaos as Kwinana Freeway southbound closed near Berrigan Drive

The Kwinana Freeway is closed to southbound traffic between Berrigan Drive and Armadale Road following a fatal crash.

Police said at about 2pm a motorcycle travelling southbound collided with a Mitsubishi Triton ute going in the same direction.

Major Crash investigators are heading to the scene.

WA Police said the male motorcycle rider was in his 30s. He sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.

Motorists heading south from the city should take an alternative route.

The incident comes just hours after a 47-year-old man was killed in a motorbike crash in Como.
