The man has been charged with one count each of manslaughter, dangerous operation of a vehicle, driving of a motor vehicle without a driver licence and failing to exhibit proper respect to the deceased, showing callous disregard for the needs of a person injured.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on Monday.
