Three men have died in two separate car crashes in just a five-hour period on the state’s roads overnight.
The first crash occurred on Friday night on the outskirts of Bowral when a sedan carrying two men in their 30s crashed into a telegraph pole about 8pm.
Police officers went to the scene of the crash on Eridge Park Road in the village of Burradoo near Bowral and found both the driver and passenger dead.
A crime scene was established and they are now investigating the circumstances of the crash.
In a separate incident in the state’s southwest, a 20 year-old man died after his Ford Ranger crashed off the side of the road at 12.30am on Saturday morning.
The man was driving southwards along Moulamein Road at Moulamein, which is near the Victorian border, when it hit a railing.
After crashing into the railing, it rolled several times before coming to a stop 50 metres from the roadway.
Police said the 20-year-old man died at the scene.
It is the third Friday night in a row in which at least two people have lost their lives on NSW roads.
Two weeks ago, two boys aged nine and 10 died after the Suburu WRX they were in crashed into a tree at Monterey, near Brighton-le-Sands, shortly before 10pm.
The driver has since been charging with numerous offences including dangerous driving occasioning death.
And last Friday in Sydney’s west, a 24-year-old woman, and her 15-year-old male passenger died after the Toyota Echo they were in collided head on into a Black Mercedes about 9.20pm.
The 20-year-old driver of the Mercedes was later charged with dangerous driving occasioning deaths after allegedly fleeing from the scene of the crash in the suburb of Heckenberg.
