How the metro has transformed people’s commutes

It’s hard to overstate its impact if you haven’t used it yourself – so take it from those who have: the metro has revolutionised the lives of those who live and work in Sydney’s north-west.

After the North West Metro line opened in 2019, millions of rides have been taken between Tallawong and Chatswood. And from Monday, the opportunity opens all the way through the city to Sydenham.

So what was the uptake like? And how did it change the way people lived? We asked some locals.
