Fairfield Council: What your candidates said

In Sydney’s west, voters in Fairfield will vote for both the councillors and the mayor they want to elect for the next four years.

Only two parties currently sit on the council: Frank Carbone’s team and Labor. In 2021, Frank Carbone won more than 70 per cent of the vote for mayor.

The Sydney Morning Herald sent questions to each of the 52 candidates up for election at Fairfield Council about why they are running and what they want to accomplish if they are elected.

Their responses have been lightly edited for clarity.

You can find your ward and nearest polling station at the NSW Electoral Commission’s website.
