Today show co-host Karl Stefanovic has reportedly separated from his wife after 21 years of marriage.
The 42-year-old moved out of the family home he shares with his wife, Cassandra Thorburn, 44, and three children in recent weeks, according to News Limited.
He is staying at his friend James Packer's Bondi apartment, the report stated.
Friends of the couple were quoted as saying they were 'stunned by the separation'.
The couple was photographed together in May at a Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia show, where they were smiling and appeared happy together.
Stefanovic met Thorburn in the mid 1990s at a party and was immediately smitten, he told The Sydney Morning Herald in 2014.
He had just moved to Rockhampton to work as a cub reporter for WIN television and she was working for ABC radio.
"She told me I look like a preppy. She said, 'I suppose that's how you got your job in television, because of your pretty-boy looks'."
"It took me a while to track her down afterwards, but I did," he said.
He praised his wife last year for giving up her own career as a journalist to support his television career.
"She gave up a promising career at the ABC and I'm forever thankful and tremendously appreciative of that," he told the Sunday Herald Sun in 2015.
"Cass wanted to be at home, and wants to be there now, and we're very lucky to be in a financial position where we can do that.
"But should she ever want to go back to work, then of course she can."
Radio presenter Ben Fordham echoed similar sentiments, previously telling The Sydney Morning Herald: "There's no question that Cass is a crucial ingredient in Karl's success."
"I think she's ambitious for him … because she wants the best for Karl and she knows how talented he is."
The couple, who have three children, Jackson, 16, Ava, 11, and 10-year-old River, are understood to be trying to work on their marriage.
