New COVID-19 case detected in Brisbane, exposure sites listed

A number of exposure sites have been listed in Brisbane after a new, confirmed case of COVID-19.
Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk released a public health alert from Queensland Health on Monday night.
It said the case was detected in a man, aged in his 30s, who works in the aviation industry and has “no recent history of overseas or interstate travel”.
“The source of infection is under investigation,” the statement said.
“The case will be reported in tomorrow’s COVID-19 data. Further information on the case will be provided at the press conference tomorrow morning.”
There were no new cases announced in Queensland earlier on Monday.
Exposure sites have been identified in the Brisbane suburbs of Eatons Hill, Albany Creek, Aspley and Rocklea during relevant times on Thursday, September 23.
Seats ‘R’ Us on Ipswich Road in Rocklea has been identified as a close contact location between 11.15am and 11.45am.
The new casual contact sites are Mother Duck Childcare and Kindergarten in Eatons Hill, from 7.25am to 8am, and Freedom Furniture Aspley from 4.40pm to 5pm.
A fourth site, categorised as low-risk contact by the health department, is the McDonald’s Albany Creek drive-through on Albany Creek Road between 5.05am and 5.10am on the same day.
