Queensland police inspector stood down over drink-driving charge
A Queensland police inspector is accused of drink-driving while off-duty and has been stood down from the service while he awaits his day in court.
The 52-year-old man is due to appear in the Holland Park Magistrates Court on September 17 charged with one count of drink-driving.
The inspector is attached to Operations Support Command, which includes counter-terrorism and forensic officers as well as protective services.
In a separate incident, a 32-year-old male senior constable in Brisbane has also been stood down from the service.
The officer is accused of improper sexual conduct towards a member of the public and is under investigation.
