Princess Mary of Denmark has posed for her new official royal portrait wearing a dress by Australian designer Carla Zampatti.
Princess Mary, 42, and husband Crown Prince Frederik appear in the new images shot by Danish royal photographer Franne Voigt at the couple's official residence, Frederik VIII's Palace, inside Amalienborg Castle in East Copenhagen.
This is the third time the mother of four has worn the dusty pink brocade gown by Zampatti.
It was commissioned originally by The Australian Women's Weekly in 2013 for the magazine's 80th anniversary cover shoot.
AWW said the gown was one of five custom pieces designed exclusively for the princess's shoot. For the feature she also wore creations by Australian designers Jayson Brunsdon, Alex Perry, Aurelio Costarella and Toni Maticevski.
"At the end of the shoot she asked if she could keep the dress [and] I was delighted. She looks so beautifully regal in their 2015 official portraits. I am so proud," Zampatti told Fairfax Media.
"When I was asked to design a gown for Princess Mary, I was thrilled. She is such a beautiful representation for this country."
For the official photographs the gown was accessorised with her ruby and diamond parure, which includes a tiara, ring, bracelet and earrings. It was gifted to the former Australian real estate agent as a wedding present when she married the prince in 2004, after they met at a Sydney pub in 2000. The jewels once belonged to Frederik's grandmother, Queen Ingrid.
Mary wore it again in March last year to an official banquet hosted by her inlaws, Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik, in honour of Turkish President Abdullah Gul and his wife Hayrunnisa on their state visit to Denmark.
The Zampatti gown wasn't the only Aussie component of the night, with pavlova on the menu.
